Purpose of the Audit Council
- The Audit Council is a group of respected experts in relevant fields.
- Appointed by the Province, the Audit Council recommends the appointment of the Auditor General for Local Government.
- The Audit Council monitors and reviews the AGLG's performance, ensuring accountability of the office.
- The Audit Council also provides comments on the office's draft reports.
